You are met at the OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg by a Road Travel representative and transferred to your hotel situated a few minutes away. A Road Travel representative will pick you up this morning and escort you to the domestic departures for your short scheduled flight to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport. On arrival you will be met and transferred to Nkambeni Tented Camp, located inside the Kruger National Park. At the Nkambeni Tented Lodge the main concern is the commitment to the preservation of the pristine wilderness areas surrounding the camp. The tented suites at Nkambeni are designed and constructed to guarantee minimum impact on the natural habitat. This is the reason why the suites have been built on wooden stilts. The accommodation at the Nkambeni Tented Lodge consists of 150 beautifully appointed luxury timber and canvas tented suites.
The lodge offers half and full day safaris in the Kruger National Park. The vehicles are designed to allow the passengers close interaction with the animals encountered. Guests are welcome to request a picnic lunch from the lodge’s restaurant and enjoy this when the guide stops at one of the picnic sites in the Kruger National Park.
Nkambeni Tented Lodge is a partnership between the Mhaule Rural Community and Private Capital. Guests have the opportunity to accompany the volunteers on a day tour of the Local Community and witness their contribution to Africa on a one to one basis. The Community Tour takes guests to the George Mhaule School where one can witness the feeding schemes and the nutrient drink production plant. After a brief tour of the Community one may wish to take the opportunity of getting down and dirty by assisting in the Community Organic Farming Project. This project is a world first in concept and design and enjoys the direct support and participation of the South African Government.
Time for an early morning game drive and breakfast before your transfer to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport for your scheduled domestic flight to Cape Town. On arrival in Cape Town you are met by a Road Travel representative and transferred to the Inn on the Square, located on the historic Greenmarket Square in the vibrant business and government district. The hotel boasts an in-house restaurant, The Famous Butchers Grill as well as a cigar lounge. Dine inside or al fresco on the terrace overlooking Greenmarket Square as the sights and sounds of the Mother City embrace you. Drive along the spectacular Chapmans Peak Drive, and then visit the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve, the south-westernmost point of the African Continent. Enjoy lunch here before enjoying the journey towards Simons Town, the headquarters of the South African Navy. Enjoy a visit to Boulders Beach Penguin Colony viewing the natural breeding colony of the African Penguins. The journey home takes in the seaside villages of Fishhoek, Kalk Bay, St James and Muizenberg. Last visit for the day will be the Rhodes Memorial on the slopes of Table Mountain.

Proceed to the town of Franschhoek, billed as the Gourmet Capital of South Africa, this charming town, in a most picturesque valley, retains a French Huguenot style. Here you will have time to enjoy the culinary skills of the chefs at one of the award winning restaurants. Continue your journey to Stellenbosch, via the scenic Helshoogte Pass. Stellenbosch is known as the heart of the South African wine Industry, boasting great beauty and culture that is steeped in South African history. Walk down the canal-lined avenues, in the shade of old oak trees and beautifully preserved historic buildings. An air of quiet intellectualism and wine-making history abounds in this university town. Enjoy your final wine tasting of the day in Stellenbosch. Return to the city after a great day in the countryside.
