JOHANNESBURG – MPUMALANGA
Departing from your Sandton hotel we will travel via Witbank, Belfast and Lydenburg, over the Long Tom Pass into the small historic village of Pilgrim’s Rest, where the richest alluvial deposits in South Africa were discovered. We will reach our overnight destination in time for dinner. [D]
DAY TWO – Tuesday
MPUMALANGA
Departing from your Lodge we traveling along the Panoramic route visiting sites of the Blyde River Canyon (one of the natural wonders of Africa), the Mac Mac Falls, God’s Window and Bourke’s Luck Potholes before arriving at your destination on the outskirts of Hazyview. [B]
DAY THREE – Wednesday
KRUGER NATIONAL PARK {Wildlife}
Spend the day in the renowned Kruger National Park, looking for the wonderful flora and fauna. This park was proclaimed in 1926 and covers an area of about 21 500 km2. From mammals, predators, reptiles and birds, there are many opportunities for you to see the Big Five and capture your experience on camera. Optional (for own account) full day game drive in an open safari vehicle is available. [B]
DAY FOUR – Thursday
MPUMALANGA – ZULULAND VIA SWAZILAND
Travel through Swaziland {Border crossing} visiting the Ngwenya Glass factory and stopping for some traditional curious and souvenirs. Enjoy the views of the local population and their ways of living. Continue through the border into Kwazulu Natal to your overnight destination. [B]
DAY FIVE – Friday
ZULULAND – DURBAN {Wildlife}
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel or an optional (for your own account) boat cruise in the Greater St Lucia Wetlands Park. An optional (for your own account) open safari game vehicle game drive is also available. Enjoy a short city orientation tour of Durban before arriving at your hotel. [B]

DAY SIX – Saturday
DURBAN – DRAKENSBURG
Leaving the coastal City of Kwazulu Natal we head into the Great Drakensburg Mountains. This route is extremely scenic and passes through many areas of magnificent beauty. Visit the Himeville Museum en route to your overnight accommodation. [B]
DAY SEVEN – Sunday
DRAKENSBURG
Full day at leisure to enjoy the wonderful views of the magnificent southern Drakensburg Mountains. Optional 4X4 adventure tour up Sani Pass and into Lesotho’s is available (passport required). [B]
DAY EIGHT – Monday
DRAKENSBURG – EAST LONDON
An early departure leaves you with a view of the beautiful Sani Pass region that for a long time was the only way for people to transport products such as mohair, wool and peas from Lesotho to Natal. On our way we visit the Nelson Mandela Museum in Qunu, near Umtata. Arriving at your hotel late afternoon. [B]
DAY NINE – Tuesday
EAST LONDON – PLETTENBERG BAY
Travel past the historical town of Grahamstown en route to Port Elizabeth, where we will arrive in time for lunch (for own account). Visit the Storms River Mouth and Tsitsikamma National Park before continuing to the Plettenberg Bay area for overnight. [B]

DAY TEN – Wednesday
PLETTENBERG BAY
Enjoy a day of leisure, spend the day relaxing at the pool or take a walk on the beach. [B]
DAY ELEVEN – Thursday
PLETTENBERG BAY – OUDTSHOORN
Travel via George and the Outeniqua Pass to Oudtshoorn. Enjoy a traditional lunch at the Ostrich Farm (for own account) before learning more about the working of the farm. Overnight in Oudtshoorn. [B]
DAY TWELVE – Friday
OUDTSHOORN – CAPE TOWN
A guided tour allows us to explore the ancient stalactites and stalagmites of the Cango Caves. Depart Oudtshoorn for Cape Town via Route 62, passing through Montagu, Robertson and Worcester. Arrive in Cape Town in the late afternoon. [B]
DAY THIRTEEN – Saturday
CAPE TOWN (Unescorted)
Enjoy a day at leisure in the “Mother City”. Optional full day Highlights Tour available (own account). Highlights include: Cape of Good Hope reserve; the funicular (for own account) to reach the hillcrest at the Cape of Good Hope; the penguin colony at Boulders Beach; Chapman’s peak (subject to the road being open) and a tour of the Historic Town of Stellenbosch as well as a wine tasting at a local Wine Estate.
